This nomadic charger is made to charge any vehicle in Mode 2 at 16A (single-phase) plugged into domestic sockets to provide 3.7kW charging power.

This smart charger gives additional comfort features to charge TESLA electric vehicles having Type 2 charging socket. As a matter of fact, it allows to remotely open the charge port of your Tesla and to unlock the charging plug when you stop charging. It is that easy.

Thanks to the integrated overheating protection, this charger shuts down charging process, if necessary, and starts it again automatically after domestic socket cools down.

This enhanced portable charging solution allows user to set charging current from 6A to 16A. This selection is kept in memory, even if you disconnect it from power socket.

Designed for daily use, this EV portable charging station takes advantage of a smart conception having all electronics integrated inside the Type 2 plug. This is why it is way more compact and lighter than any other charger. It is a highly convenient, easy-to-use, easy-to-carry and easy-to-store solution.

Enhanced portable charger for TESLA

This nomadic charger will allow you to charge your EV in Mode 2 at maximum 3.7 kW charging power. This equals 16 Amps from single phase alternative current of 230 Volts.

Starting and ending the charging process are automatically managed by the charger. Simply plug it into your car and it will start charging at the last charging power saved in charger’s memory. Charging power can be easily adjusted by user from 6 to 16A.

This charging solution is universal. It is not dedicated to a specific car model or car brand.

Actually, it fits any vehicle having Type 2 socket, which is the case for the vast majority of EVs on the European market. This solution is also compatible with plug-in hybrid vehicles (rechargeable).

Thanks to this charging device for electric vehicle, you can charge at every place having domestic electric sockets like when visiting friends and family, at hotels, stores, restaurants, parkings, etc.

Charging is more efficient than using a basic charger thanks to the integrated temperature sensor and the possibility to draw continuously 3.7kW with this charger. Moreover, you can charger whenever you want, while taking advantage of a known and controlled energy cost.

This nomadic charger for electric vehicles is a portable automated charging station that can be connected to any standard power grid having domestic sockets (Schuko).

This charging solution doesn’t require installing anything, since you simply need to plug it into a domestic socket.

TESLA features

In order to make charging your TESLA easier, this smart charging solution embeds a special module allowing to remotely open the charge port of your Tesla and to unlock the charging plug. Thanks to that, you don’t need to use the car tablet or your smartphone to interact with your Tesla. This charging solution does it quicker on your command.

Overheating protection

Protection against socket overheating is also included. It is completely autonomous and prevents fire risks.

In case of domestic socket overheating, charger will automatically decrease charging power or even shut itself down if necessary. After socket has cooled down, charger will increase charging power back to normal in order to continue charging process as planned.

This protection is necessary. Overheating can occur if domestic sockets used or their wiring are low quality.

Notes

  • Which charger to choose for your electric vehicle?
  • Adapters are available to drastically increase your charger compatibility.
  • Type J 16A – This charger has a plug requiring a Type J socket adapted for 16A.
  • If you choose a version without residual current device (RCD), it is mandatory that sockets you will plug it into are protected themselves with such a device.
  • RCD is a residual current protection device (RCD) which is also called residual current circuit breaker (RCCB).  This protection system instantly breaks a circuit to prevent serious harm due to an electric shock. Injuries are still possible in certain cases, if for instance a person comes to fall after receiving the shock or if he touches both wires at the same time.
