More information

Dual quick charging station for electric vehicle

This powerful and quick charging station will allow you to charge simultaneously two (2) electric vehicles in Mode 3 at maximum 22.2 kW charging power.

Thanks to that, you benefit from a quicker and more efficient charge compared with basic chargers that you plug in a normal domestic socket (Schuko). It is the most suitable home charging solution if you want to charge two electric vehicle at the same time and if you have three-phase alternative current available.

Charging starts and ends automatically thanks to the smart electronics included in the charging station.

Type 2 plug is made for nomadic users who want to use the charging cable usually delivered together with an EV or PHEV that they carry with them.

To start charging, simply park the car next to the charging station, plug the cable in and charging starts automatically. Automation can be increased with dynamic power control option.

This charging station is universal and is not dedicated to a model or brand exclusively. It provides autonomy and freedom to charge your electric car at home, whenever you want, while taking benefiting from your own electricity tariff plan.

RCD – Residual Current Device (DC 6mA)

European standards require that any charger for PHEV or EV is protected with a residual current device against potential direct current leakage from vehicle (DC 6mA).

This device shuts current as soon as unbalanced continuous current is detected, in order to protect user.

This device is included and integrated inside this charging station so that things are easier for you. You can simple connect your charging station to your power grid while being sure that you benefit from high quality and European compliant protections.

Depending on your local regulation, charging station must be connected either to a Type A or Type B residual current device (RCD / RCCB).

Dynamic power control

Thanks to this option, the charging station monitors current at the main fuse and regulate charging power provided to your vehicle. This depends on the possibilities your installation can offer.

It will then automatically reduce or increase charging current provided to your vehicle depending on how much power is still available. If necessary, it will stop charging process so that main fuse is not operated.

You can leave your vehicle peacefully since charging process is automatically optimized by the smart charging station itself. Without this option, charging power selection has to be done manually by user.

Moreover, this charging station is future ready because it can be connected to Smart Grid so that charging power can be controlled by any external analog signal.

High quality equipment

This charging station is designed and manufactured within the European Union.

All components have been selected for their quality and robustness:

  • Ultra resistant, lightweight and flexible cable
  • Upper quality electronics and connectors
  • Robust metallic box

This charging station is compliant to European requirements and is certified by TÜV institute.

Moreover, all charging stations are tested with care prior to shipping in order to ensure they are working properly. In addition to that, they are equipped with residual current protection so that user protection is maximal.

Cable and box are made in highly resistant material made for external use (sun, rain, etc.) and have IP54 rating. In other words, you can charge your electric vehicle safely.

Device protection

In ideal conditions, your personal charging station is located in a place that fully belongs to you, even in terms of access.

If this is not the case, we have some solutions in order to make sure your charging station is only used with your consent.

It can be equipped with a unique key in order to lock its box.

A remote controller device can also be added so that you can turn it OFF and ON. The charging station can also be locked with a unique key in order to keep the box closed.

Thanks to that, you can manage the charging station usage the way you want, even in a non-fully private area.

Overheating protection

Protection against overheating is also included. It works completely autonomously.

In case overheating is detected by the charging station, it will automatically decrease charging power or even completely stop charging is necessary. When it cools down, charging station will increase back power in order to optimize vehicle charging process.

Options

RCD – Integrated residual current circuit breaker

The RCD is already integrated in the charging station, protecting from DC currents > 6ma.

Dynamic power control

This option makes the charging station more efficient since it will automatically adapt to the maximum usable current at any time.

Your charger solution is then smarter and more integrated to your own power grid so that it is even more convenient to you. As a matter of fact, you don’t have to think, simply plug you vehicle and leave the charging station doing its job.

You simply need to add a current sensor to the power line the charging station is connected to. This sensor will monitor current getting through the main fuse of this line so that the charging station doesn’t use too much power. This avoids main fuse to shut down the line. For three-phase charging stations, each line has its own current sensor.

Timer

It allows to program when the charging station will operate so that you can charge off-peak if you have a two-rate meter.

kWh meter

This allows counting the total quantity of energy charged thanks to the charging station.

Note: When the timer is chosen together with the kWh counter, in the options for this terminal, counter is supplied separately and must be installed in your electrical panel.

Remote control

This option allows to remotely shutdown power supply to charging station.

Basically, it is an ON/OFF remote switch. Thanks to that remote controller, you can leave your charging station off when you are away. Otherwise, this charging station is always ready to work as soon as you connect a vehicle. This option is useful if your charging station will be located where access is not fully privatized to you.

RFID card, tag

With this option you will be able to restrict the access to your charging station.

5 RFID tags will be delivered to you with the charging station, allowing you to activate the charging process, by sweeping them in the front of the reader.
This option is especially interesting when the charging station is installed in an area with public access.

Box key

Charging station is delivered with a simple mechanical key, by default.

If you want to have a unique lock and key, you need to select this option.

Smart Charge Control

  • Smartphone App management
This option allows remote monitoring and management of your charging station on a smartphone, a tablet or a computer, via WiFi. The following functions are therefore accessible via a simple browser on your smartphone, tablet or computer:
    • Schedule the begging of the charging process
    • Change the charging power
    • Follow the state of charge in real time
    • Choose to charge only with the electricity produced by your photovoltaic system (if you have one)
    • Monitor the building’s consumption (combined with the dynamic power management option) and the photovoltaic production, if it exists in your installation

  • Wired Dynamic Power Management

This option adds extra automation since it allows the station to adapt automatically its charging power to the maximum current available in your electrical circuit in real time.
This makes your charging solution even smarter and integrated for increased convenience. You don’t have to think about it anymore, just plug in your vehicle and let the charging station take care of the rest.
To take advantage of this feature, a current sensor must be installed on the line to which the terminal is connected. The sensor monitors the current flowing through the main circuit breaker of this line to prevent it from cutting off the current. In the three-phase version, each line has its own sensor.
The maximum length of the current sensor connection cable is 40m.

  • Wireless Dynamic Power Management

With this option, you will enjoy all the benefits of dynamic power management of the charging station combined with a wireless link to the sensor(s) of this device. This option is suitable for installations where the main electrical panel is far from the station or where wiring to the sensors is not possible or desired.

Notes

  • Which charger to choose for your electric vehicle?
  • This charging station requires three-phase alternating current with neutral (400V) in order to operate at maximum power.
  • Depending on your local regulation, charging station must be connected either to a Type A or Type B residual current device (RCD / RCCB).
  • Price indicated is for charging station only (without installation), pictures may differ from article depending on selected options.
  • Weight varies depending on selected options.

* Notes for Renault ZOE:

      1. This charging station is designed to work also with Renault ZOE (all motor versions are supported).
      2. Before starting the charging process, the Renault ZOE’s on-board charger system checks if the socket from which you want to charge the car is correctly connected to a good electrical grid, otherwise the ZOE won’t start charging. The charging station connection/grid must have the following characteristics:
          • Phase sequence in the charging station connection must be in clockwise rotation (L1-L2-L3). If the wiring of the charging station phase sequence is L3-L2-L1 (counterclockwise) some Zoe versions won’t charge
          • The electrical grid behind the charging station must have low impedance (cables with conductor cross sections must have the correct section/thickness)
          • Earthing/grounding: earth resistance should be less than 100 Ohm
          • The voltage difference between neutral and earth/ground should be very low (if this is a problem it can be solved by experienced electrician in the way neutral and earth are connected together in a wall socket if there is no RCD protection in the building or before RDC protection device if it exists)
          • On the grid circuit on which the charging station is connected, any RCD (Ground fault protection) device must be of Type A (30mA) or Type A with added 6mA DC RCD or Type B. Any RCD Type AC (30mA) is not appropriate, because it can be activated by the Renault ZOE’s charging system
          • When charging at single phase it is important that the used phase and the neutral are correctly positioned. If they are inverted, it is possible that the Zoe’s charging process doesn’t starts.
          • If the power of the charger is set at 6A, it is possible that the charging process doesn’t starts. So if you wish to diminish the power of the charger, you should then not lower it down to 6A but use at least 8A or more.
